Secondary One Orientation Programme (2nd to 10th January 2025)

All Secondary One students will undergo an orientation programme to help them transit into secondary school life and familiarise themselves with our school. The orientation programme will be held over four days in the first two weeks of school on 2, 3, 6 and 10 January 2025. Students will be having timetabled lessons on 7, 8 and 9 January 2025. The schedule of the orientation programme can be found below.

As part of the orientation programme, students will be receiving a Secondary One Orientation Camp T-shirt, which will be paid for via the student’s Edusave. We would also like to extend an invitation to parents/guardians to join us on Friday, 10 January 2025 for a Secondary One Orientation Milestone programme. This programme will comprise a series of engagement talks for parents/guardians followed by an orientation campfire celebration with our students and staff. We seek your cooperation to submit your RSVP and complete this form AMKSS 2025 S1OC FORM by 26 December 2024 (Thu), 5pm to allow us to make the necessary arrangements for the event.

2nd Jan (Thu)	7.20am - 1.30pm Recess 9.00am - 9.30am	❑ Please report to school in Half School Uniform (i.e. PE T-Shirt + AMKSS Shorts/Skirt) by 7.20am. ❑ For students who have yet to purchase the AMKSS PE T-shirt/uniform, you may wear your primary school attire. ❑ Students are required to bring writing materials, student handbook and a story book.There is no need to bring school textbooks on this day. ❑ Students will attend briefings and student bonding activities as part of the Orientation programme.
3rd Jan (Fri)	7.20am - 12.30pm Recess 9.00am - 9.30am	❑ Please report to school in PE attire (i.e. PE T-shirt & PE shorts) by 7.20am. ❑ For students who have yet to purchase the AMKSS PE attire, you may wear your primary school PE attire. ❑ Students are only required to bring writing materials, student handbook and a story book.There is no need to bring school textbooks on this day. ❑ Students will be introduced to the different CCA groups as part of the Orientation programme.
6th Jan (Mon)	7.20am - 1.30pm Recess 9.00am - 9.30am	❑ Please report to school in PE attire (i.e. PE T-shirt & PE shorts) by 7.20am. ❑ For students who have yet to purchase the AMKSS PE attire, you may wear your primary school PE attire. ❑ Students are only required to bring writing materials, student handbook and a story book.There is no need to bring school textbooks on this day. ❑ Students will attend briefings and student bonding activities as part of the Orientation programme.
7th to 9th Jan (Tue to Thu)	Report at 7.20am Recess 9.00am - 9.30am	❑ Lessons as per normal. Please bring the books required for the lessons stated in the timetable. ❑ Please report to school in Half School Uniform (i.e. PE T-Shirt + AMKSS Shorts/Skirt) by 7.20am. You may also report in full school uniform if there are no PE / IAP lessons for that day.
10th Jan (Fri)	7.20am - 8.00pm Recess 9.00am - 9.30am Lunch 12.30pm - 2.00pm Dinner 4.00pm - 5.30pm	❑ Please report to school in PE attire (i.e. PE T-shirt & PE shorts) by 7.20am. ❑ For students who have yet to purchase the AMKSS PE Attire, you may wear your primary school PE attire. ❑ Students will be required to change into their S1OC T-shirt later in the day for the milestone celebration. ❑ Students are only required to bring writing materials, student handbook and a story book. There is no need to bring school textbooks. ❑ Students will be preparing for the milestone celebration as part of the Orientation Programme. ❑ Parents are also invited to attend the milestone celebration, as well as talks by key school personnel. ❑ Dinner will be provided.
